By using CouchLoop EQ ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

CouchLoop EQ is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides behavioral governance tools for AI assistants, including:

• Session management and context preservation
• Guided journeys and reflection exercises
• Hallucination and inconsistency detection
• Developer safety tools (package validation, security scanning)
• Crisis detection and emotional support integration

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

2. No Account Required

CouchLoop EQ operates without user accounts. Sessions are identified by randomly generated IDs. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your session.

3. Free Service

CouchLoop EQ is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, which would be offered as optional upgrades.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to harm, harass, or abuse others
• Circumvent any safety or governance features

5. AI-Powered Features

Not Professional Advice

The Service does not provide medical, therapeutic, legal, or professional advice. AI-generated responses are for informational and supportive purposes only. If you need professional help, please consult a qualified professional.

Crisis Situations

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately. CouchLoop EQ's crisis detection is a supplementary tool, not a replacement for professional crisis intervention.

Developer Tools

Security scanning, package validation, and code analysis tools are provided as-is. They may not catch all vulnerabilities or issues. You remain responsible for reviewing and testing all code before deployment.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the content you create and submit through the Service. We do not claim ownership of your sessions, insights, or saved data.

The CouchLoop EQ software, branding, and documentation are owned by CouchLoop and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COUCHLOOP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CouchLoop and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
